Islamic Republic of Iran: Kurdish singer gets two years prison and 100 lashes for “insulting Islamic sanctities”.
Peyman Mirzazadeh had been sentenced to two years in prison and 100 lashes after being convicted of “drinking alcohol” and “insulting Islamic sanctities”. The flogging was carried out on 28 July and left him in agonizing pain with a severely swollen back and legs. He is currently on hunger strike in protest at his treatment and sentence.
Iran's terrorist regime brutally oppresses non-Shiite minorities. Anyone who refuses to surrender to Shiite Islam is subjected to mental and physical torture in the Iranian prison. Most prisoners die over harsh conditions.
The United Nations, the European Union and even the media continue to turn a blind eye to the terrorist regime in Iran brutally violating women's rights, minority rights and children's rights.
